About Mary Foudy O'Halloran

Mary Foudy O’Halloran (b.1952) is an Irish artist born in Clare and based in South Galway. She has exhibited nationally with solo shows such as Endurance, Ennis (2015) and Weighed, Ballina Arts Centre, Co. Mayo (2014). Group shows include Glor Ennis (2015 and 2006); Iontas, Sligo 2007; Claremorris 2007; Ennistymon and Ballina Co Mayo 2009. Foudy O’Halloran received the Student of the Year award upon graduation from the Cluain Mhuire Art School as part of GMIT in 2006. She is a member of Visual Arts Ireland and KAVA.

She works primarily in oil paint and mixed media and often uses household materials in her work. Her work often re-examines the past in the now, questioning the ordinary and familiar; often objects of loss.
